Children's Liturgy

Welcome to St Margaret’s Children's Liturgy

We are so fortunate to have a fantastic programme for Children’s Liturgy in the Parish for all primary school age children.

Children are invited to join the leaders for a specially prepared session based on the Gospel. The children pray and learn together in a wonderful environment, and come back into Church ready to join their family for the rest of the celebration for the Eucharist. Parents are welcome to join their children for this time of worship. Preschool age children must be accompanied by their parent/carer.

Where and when does it happen?

Children’s Liturgy takes place in the St. Margaret's Crypt during 9am Mass on alternate Sundays in Ordinary Time (except school holidays) and every Sunday during Lent and Advent.

A calendar of the dates in 2017 when the Children’s Liturgy is available here. Read more....

Children’s Activity Sheets

For each Children's Liturgy session, a Children’s Activity Sheet is produced that children can read and use during mass. The sheet includes a few words on the week’s Gospel, a couple of Gospel-related activities (such as a Word Search and a Cross Word Puzzle), and a Colouring section for our younger parishioners. Copies are available at the back of Church (and here on this page) and it is a free resource you can use with your child, so please do!

  • Morning Prayer
  • Our Father
  • Hail Mary
  • Glory Be
  • Angel of God
  • Little Creed

Volunteers needed to help run sessions

The leaders are volunteers who want to help children take a more active part and to make Mass as enjoyable and meaningful as possible.

Each session is run by at least two leaders all of whom have an up to date PVG scheme membership. For more information regarding PVG scheme follow link:

Sing-a-long time

King of the Jungle

Who's the king of the jungle? Who's the king of the sea? Who's the king of the universe, and who's the king of me?

I'll tell you: J-E-S-U-S      Yes, he's the king for me; he's the king of the universe, the jungle and the sea.

A Gift to You

Everything I am, Everything I'll be,

I gift it to you Lord, And do it thankfully.

Every song I sing, Every praise I bring,

Everything I do is a gift to you.

Everything I have, All you've given me

I gift it to you Lord, And do it thankfully.
