23 - 27 October, 7pm-9pm, St. Mary's Catholic Cathedral, Edinburgh
There is a Scriptural Event that the Archdiocese have organised at the Cathedral in the week 23 - 27 October this year.
The purpose of the event is to offer people across the Archdiocese the opportunity to delve more deeply into the Scriptures, and specifically into the Gospel of Mark, through a series of evening meetings led by Professor James Edwards - who is a noted scriptural scholar and an inspirational speaker. The event is ecumenical and open to all. It will run from 7pm-9pm Monday to Friday, with two inputs each evening separated by an interval and plenty of time for discussion.
To sign up, you only need to go to the Eventbrite website and search: "Searching for Jesus". You do not have to come for the whole week. Each evening will be a standalone event and you can sign up for individual meetings.
There are also various catering options - including a pre-theatre menu available at the Cathedral's Coffee Saints café - for those coming straight from work.
Our motivation in organising this event is simply to help you find Jesus in the Gospel. The event will be truly ecumenical - Professor Edwards himself being a Presbyterian.
