The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP) is an international organisation of Catholic lay people, men and women, who practice Christianity by helping those in need on a person to person basis.
For a short history of Holy Name’s SSVP Conference, please click here.
On Sunday 12th November Holy Name SSVP Conference had a Recruitment Stall in the Church after 11am Mass. A number of people asked what was involved in being part of the SSVP and some of those showing interest took away a leaflet that we had put together describing the work of the Holy Name Conference.
We heard about this recruitment idea from the conferences in Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy who kindly shared good practice at our Fife Group SSVP meeting.
Holy Name Steering Group are going to have a Recruitment Stall on a Sunday early in 2024.
