Dear Friends,

Please find attached the newsletter for the 4th Sunday of Easter.

We are continuing to experience difficulties with the broadband at the Church. The speed is ridiculously low and is causing problems with the livestreaming of Masses. Our geeks are doing their very best to resolve the problems, but they seem to be outwith our control at the moment.

This Sunday, Good Shepherd Sunday, is the World Day of Prayer for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious life. Two of our seminarians, Bobby and Martin, were due to be ordained deacons in Rome on Sunday. This has been postponed and will take place in Edinburgh at a date yet to be determined. Please pray for them and for all discerning the call to ministry at this time.

Today I received a copy of a new book published by Pauline Books and Media. It's a beautiful little edition containing 8 Marian themed reflections by Sr Gemma Simmonds. The illustrations use the works of the late Stephen Foster and included the beautiful wood carbing of Mary and the child Jesus in the Lady Chapel of St Margaret's Church. I attach a flier and picture of the carving which provided the basis for the 8th meditation on Mary, mirror of justice

Also, here is a link to an article that appeared in the catholic press this week. Please contact my agent for autographs!!
