Please find attached the newsletter for the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. This Feast is transferred from Thursday. It was originally instituted to enhance the joy of knowing that Jesus is still with us in the Holy Eucharist. It was felt that Good Friday cast too much of a shadow upon Holy Thursday and so, it was instituted to echo Holy Thursday and focus on the gift of the Eucharist. This year we have been unable to celebrate either feast together. We thank God that the Eucharist still draws us more deeply into the life of Christ and that the bonds of communion between us as individuals are strengthened as we are exiled from the Eucharist.
I also attach a report about a recent report from the Australian Bishops which may interest some of you.
With prayer and best wishes for the coming week.
