Dear Friends,

here is the newsletter for the 1st Sunday in Advent.

All of the Masses at St Margaret's are booked to capacity and I've had to turn people away (unfortunately). It might be possible to add another Vigil Mass on Saturday at 4p.m if there is sufficient demand. Please feel free to let me know your opinion.

Christmas Masses: Booking Forms will be available at all Masses this weekend and will also be emailed to everyone on this list on Sunday morning. The capacity at each Mass is 50. This gives a total capacity of 350 people between the 7 Masses being celebrated in our 2 churches. The normal Christmas Mass attendance is over 1500. Inevitably, people will be disappointed this year. Please be patient and flexible. Mass for the Octave of Christmas (up to and including New Years Day will be celebrated at 12 noon in St Margaret's (normal times for Sunday), and in Holy Name at 9.30 on the Sunday and 10a.m on Tuesday, & Friday so if you don't make it on the actual day come and experience what the Church has always been telling us; that the season of Christmas begins on the 25th of December and not mid-November. There are lots of options in these unusual times and, don't worry, the Baby Jesus doesn't forget a face!

Best wishes

Fr Chris
