St. Margaret's National Pilgrimage 2018

The 4th St. Margaret's National Pilgrimage will take place on Sunday, 3rd June 2018. As in previous years, religious and historical sites within Dunfermline will be available to visit from 11am, (with the exception of Dunfermline Abbey, due to a religious service at 11am), although the Abbey grounds will be open, access to the Abbey will be unavailable until after conclusion of the service. Guides will be located within Pittencrieff Park, at the Louise Carnegie Gates, (main gates at Bridge Street), to provide tours for pilgrims which will commence at 11am and leave every 30 minutes thereafter.

The procession of St. Margaret's relic through Dunfermline will leave from the Louise Carnegie Gates, (main gates) of Pittencrief Park, Bridge Street, Dunfermline at 2:15pm prompt. Pilgrims taking part in the procession should arrive to form up from 1.45pm. The procession will be led by Archbishop Leo Cushley through Dunfermline town centre to St Margaret’s Memorial Church for a celebratory Mass at 3pm.
